Science / The Platform

A platform, not a product

We work at the level where a cell decides whether to survive. That is a capability that generalizes - across hair, across skin, and toward broader frontiers in how the body maintains itself.

The insight

The cells that maintain us can stall - and break down

The stem cells responsible for renewing tissue can get stuck and deplete as we age. Recent discoveries have begun to reveal the cellular mechanism behind this process - and, with it, new approaches to regenerating or reversing it. Our first program reads this biology directly, in human tissue.

The platform

Getting the right molecule to the right cell, through the skin

Your skin evolved over millions of years to keep things out. Our platform moves a small peptide across that barrier and to its destination - described here conceptually, as a capability rather than a formula. Because the delivery approach is cargo-agnostic, it generalizes across programs. That is the differentiator.

“The peptide is the boat. The engineered modification is the sail. Most topical delivery throws cargo overboard and hopes it floats in - ours is steered.”

Proof points

Real human-tissue model systems - not ingredient-screening assays

We grow human hair follicles and full human scalp explants in the lab, both under Helsinki-committee approval, and visualize them with multi-laser confocal, time-lapse fluorescence, and electron microscopy. These are the systems a serious regenerative-biology lab uses to ask whether something really works.

The potential

The first step onto a much broader field

Demonstrating that a maintenance process can be shifted biologically is the beginning, not the end. The same platform opens onto hair, skin, and further therapeutic frontiers - positioning Elixrbio as a platform company with healthcare-scale ambitions.
